Since the opening of Majestic Hotel KL on 8.8.2012, i’ve been curious and looking forward to see this old colonial architecture building.
Anyway, it seems like this Majestic Hotel KL is an empty land on the new wing, and for their old wing, they are still preserving the stairway area and most parts of the buildings. You should go and stay at the old wing (colonial suite) with magnificent atmosphere combined with old building smell perhaps is the timber wood smell but i just love it, it reminds me of my grandparent’s house.
First timer might not be able to locate this area easily, if you try to search inside Kuala Lumpur Travel Map, all it’s written is 1932 hotel at Jalan Hishammuddin, somewhere around KTM HQ. No one actually knows where Majestic Hotel KL is located not even the customer service @ Pavilion. I’ve tried to ask them, but couldn’t get the exact direction. Afterthat, we decided to take the free shuttle bus and head to Pasar Seni (Central Market) train station, hopefully we can walk to this hotel since it’s quite near according to the map. Then i saw the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur shuttle bus passed with the text “Starhill“. Oh gosh, we quickly took Go KL free shuttle bus and stop at Starhill gallery. Over at Starhill, we boarded the Majestic Hotel KL Free shuttle bus to our destination.
After we arrived at Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, we requested a tour and we were guided around this beautiful majestic historic piece of architecture. Our tour starts from Majestic wing to Colonial suite, it’s like entering into the past year of 1932s!!!, the corridors, the stairs, the air well area and so on.
What i find most interesting was the air well area, their oldest barbershop in Malaysia Truefitt & Hill and old colonial suite.
Words can’t describe my feelings when i first enter into this hotel. Here’s some photo i’ve taken during the tour. I hope you’ll enjoy as much as i do.

How to go to Majestic Hotel KL?
There is a free shuttle bus from Starhill Gallery @ Bukit Bintang or KL Sentral. I kinda forget the timetable from KL sentral, but from Starhill starts from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm.

The hotel is conveniently close to Kuala Lumpur Central Station and its express link to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Kuala Lumpur city centre and the Golden Triangle are just twenty minutes away by car.
